Delicious Paleo Buns
Ingredients
1/2 cup cashews
1 cup almond flour
2/3 cup cavassa flour
3/4 tsp apple cider vinegar
3 pasture raised eggs
1/4 cup grass-fed butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp himalayan salt
1 pasture raised egg yolk
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and lightly oil a baking sheet.
To create buns, start by adding cashews into a food processor and blend them until cashews turn into a flour consistency.
Then add in almond flour, cavassa flour, salt and baking powder and blend until combined.
In a separate bowl add together apple cider vinegar, eggs and cooled melted butter.
Once added together, turn on the food processor and pour wet ingredients into flour mixture. Continue blending until well combined.
Next, using wet hands, scoop out the dough from the food processor and form a bun shape onto the oiled baking sheet. Continue until all mixture is gone- creating 4 large burger buns or 8 small sliders.
Then, using a basting brush, carefully brush the top of each bun with the egg yolk and sprinkle on sesame seeds.
Place buns into oven and bake until buns bounce back when lightly touched on top, about 20-25 minutes for large buns.
Take out of oven, cool, slice, enter in all your favorite sandwich ingredients and enjoy!
